Hi, I’m Diana. I’m so glad you’re here.
I am a deep feeler and a question asker, and I value listening with warmth and compassion. People often describe me as calming and safe, while also confident in guiding the work with clarity and intention.
My Approach
You might start your day feeling overwhelmed before it’s even begun—your mind busy, your body activated, and symptoms already demanding your attention. Maybe you’ve spent months or even years searching for answers, seeing different doctors, trying treatments, and still feeling like nothing has fully helped or explained what you’re going through.
I know how exhausting and discouraging that can be. I’ve been there too. My work offers a different path. In my own journey, I discovered how nervous system dysregulation can drive a wide range of physical and emotional symptoms like chronic pain and anxiety, which led me to explore a new approach to healing—first for myself, and now in therapy with others. This isn’t a quick fix, but a deeper, integrative process that goes beyond symptom management to address and heal the root causes of what you are experiencing.
In our work, you can expect a warm, compassionate presence. I believe humans are highly adaptive and that all symptoms make sense in the context of our stories. This just means that the patterns and symptoms that brought you here likely once helped you cope, survive, or stay connected in a difficult time. Together we will slow down, meet these patterns with compassion and curiosity, and create a sense of safety in the nervous system, so meaningful, lasting change can unfold.
In ancient Greek, soma referred to the body—not just physically, but as an integrated whole where mind, body, and spirit are inseparable. My approach mirrors this understanding. Using an integrative approach that includes Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), somatic therapies, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we help regulate your nervous system, reduce chronic pain and other persistent symptoms, and deepen your connection to yourself and others, so you can live a more grounded, whole-hearted life.
About DianaAt some point in life, most of us reach a place where our usual ways of coping are no longer enough for what we’re going through. If that’s where you find yourself, you are not alone. I’ve been there too, and I know how deeply it can impact everything—your relationships, your work, even your body.
About ten years ago, I was diagnosed with Lyme’s disease and chronic fatigue syndrome. I also suffered from insomnia and chronic pain, making it hard to stand or sit for long periods of time. I was completely and utterly overwhelmed. At the time, I thought all of the answers were outside of me— finding the right holistic doctors, eating clean, avoiding any and all triggers. My life was becoming smaller and smaller, and I felt like I was completely losing myself. A couple years prior, I was living a wildly risky and rewarding life in Haiti, providing prosthetic care and employment for amputee women. And then just a few years later, I found myself afraid of nearly everything—afraid to move certain ways, to trust my body, to live the life I once loved.
It wasn’t until I came to the end of myself that I experienced God leading me to other resources that would show me a new and better path, one that enabled me to regulate my nervous system, listen to my body, and understand my inner world. I learned all about the mind body connection, and the neuroscience behind the pain. I learned the importance of not repressing emotions, and that you can never out-hustle a dysregulated nervous system. No amount of meditation, healthy food, avoidance, or holistic medical treatments will create a long term fix for a body that is screaming to be heard. Maybe most importantly of all, I learned that we were not meant to walk this life alone.
Through the tenderness and skill of several counselors over the following years, I was able to heal from the inside out and reconnect to myself, God, and others in ways I never had previously. Not only this, I was healed of every chronic physical symptom! This experience sparked a passion for mental health and a desire to help others who were struggling in similar ways. I started by creating a social-emotional learning curriculum for kids, which I eventually taught in a local elementary school for several years. A few years later, I felt called to become a counselor, and now 5 years later, I am deeply honored to do this work.
We are wired for connection, and meaningful change tends to happen in spaces where we feel safe enough to be seen and supported. My deep hope is that you feel safe enough to bring your full self into the room—the parts you are proud of, along with the parts you sometimes try to hide. Together we will walk through your story, and I will help you uncover the patterns and beliefs that no longer serve you, guiding you toward new ways of relating to yourself, your body, and your life.
